Today I am thankful for my husband.
I work Saturday mornings and Matt always drives me there and picks me up (as opposed to me taking the bus). 5 minutes after he dropped me off today I realized that I forgot some little finger puppets I needed for my classes, and I called Matt and asked him if he wouldn’t mind too terribly to drive back to my work to drop them off. He didn’t mind at all; he didn’t complain about just getting home (which I would have totally understood, and I might even do that myself) he just asked when I needed them by and that he would drop them off.
I know this seems insignificant, but it’s those little things that he does that makes me realize how much he loves me and how much I am blessed to have him for a husband :)
Is there anyone in your life whom you are thankful for today?
Good morning, Maggie! :)
Its not oft that I can say “good morning!”, and I can relate to you on this point of gratitude for the simple joys that emerge in our lives at the moments we are not always expecting to see them! :) Years ago, when Mum and I were taking a card-making class we had forgotten a few supplies we needed at home. Not once, but twice my Dad went back home to collect the missing items and drove them back to where we were gathered! We were happy he could duck back the first time, but we had no idea that he would surprise us the second time! We had only said we were sorry we hadn’t thought of the other item when we originally had called! These tiny gestures are given out of love and encouragement by those who understand us the most! Whether your married or a daughter in a close-knit family, these are the gestures that endear us through the years! :) :)
I am thankful for my family! :) And, for my dear friends who have been a constant joy in my life and whose presence is unmeasurable as to how much my appreciation for their friendship has uplifted me! :)
That’s such a sweet story about your Dad!! It’s those “tiny gestures” that really stick with us forever, isn’t it? ;)
