Last week, my husband, my mom, and I took advantage of a lovely autumn afternoon and visited a local pumpkin patch to scope out some perfect jack-o-lantern candidates.
We found a quaint little rustic farm where they had 3 acres of pumpkins to choose from!
We each picked out a pumpkin and then had a lovely chat with the farmers, who told us that it only takes a few months to grow their pumpkins.
And then it was carving time! Matt and I both picked Disney stencils, big surprise ;)
Rapunzel for me, and Mickey Mouse for him.
Have you carved any pumpkins yet this season? Show me a pic in the comments!

Thanks! When I first started carving I thought I was going to fail miserably, but eventually you get the hang of it and it’s not that hard, especially with a stencil :)
I’ve never really gotten into pumpkin carving – too messy for me I guess, but I loved reading this post and seeing the pumpkins you carved! And because it’s Disney that’s an added bonus. :D The pumpkin patch looks so cute too! Where I live I only see pop-up pumpkin stands in vacant lots, so it’s not really that aesthetically pleasing. :)
It was pretty messy at first, I’m not gonna lie! Scraping and pulling out the pumpkin guts wasn’t the most pleasant part, but it was actually fun and relaxing to carve the pumpkin once it was prepped and cleaned :)
My daughters would like you to adopt them so you can carve them Rapunzel pumpkins every year. Their mommy is boring and always does a simple cross. They’re especially keen on this since they’re going as Elsa and Rapunzel for trick-or-treating tomorrow night.
Also, I tagged you here. Play if you like :-)
Hahaha this made me laugh out loud :)
Elsa and Rapunzel! So cute! I was contemplating our Christmas cards this morning and I had an idea of my husband, myself, and our dog dressing up like Kristoff, Anna, and Sven (my dog is exactly like Sven). So you can tell your daughters I love their costumes and I’m sure they’ll be super cute in them!
Thanks for the tag! I love these things :)
Kristoff, Anna, and Sven! That would be hilarious and brilliant! I hope you do it :-D
Thanks! I will definitely be posting pictures if we do :)
